Abstract

Pogoste so udarnine sklepov, mišični nategi in zvini.

Secondary title: The impact of injuries on the career paths of slovenian athletes
Secondary abstract: Increased physical activity, a key feature of sports, significantly influences the health and development of the human body but can also lead to sports injuries with serious consequences. Sports injuries are a constant risk, especially in contact sports, and can impact the success of athletes. The most common sports injuries include impacts, sprains, fractures, and concussions, and in some cases, even life-threatening injuries. Sports injuries are categorized by severity, distinguishing fatal, severe, moderately severe, mild, and insignificant injuries. Most sports injuries are mild, but the number of injuries is increasing because athletes often experience more than one injury in their careers. Common injuries include joint contusions, muscle strains, and sprains. In addition to acute sports injuries, which occur due to the immediate action of external force, chronic injuries also occur, resulting from repetitive micro-injuries due to overuse of tissue structures. These injuries develop gradually and can be long-lasting, potentially leading to the interruption of a sports career or disability. Sports injuries have a significant impact on an athlete's career.
