Abstract

Varnost in zdravje sta pomembna dejavnika v vsakem delovnem okolju. Zaposleni v osnovnih šolah so se leta 2020 prvič znašli v situaciji, v kateri so zaradi epidemije covida-19 spremenili delovno okolje in način dela.

Secondary title: Analysis of safety and health at work in selected primary schools during the COVID-19 epidemic
Secondary abstract: Safety and health are important factors in any work environment. Safety and health must also be ensured when working from home. In 2020, primary school employees found themselves in a situation in which they changed their working environment and working methods due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The diploma thesis explores how employees were taken care of from a safety and health point of view when working from home. The diploma thesis consists of two parts. The first part summarises theoretical definitions of occupational safety and health concepts, while the second part presents a survey of the topic discussed, which was carried out using the survey method. The survey examined whether primary school employees had adequate working conditions at the premises of the institution that ensure safety and health and whether employees in primary schools had adequate working conditions to ensure health and safety when working from home during the COVID-19 epidemic. The results obtained with the help of the questionnaire showed that the participating respondents have a healthy and safe working environment in the premises of the institution. The most common health problems they face are stress and burnout. When working from home during the COVID-19 epidemic, in addition to stress and burnout, they also faced back pain. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to make proposals for amendments that are necessary for greater safety and health of employees in primary schools when working from home. Concern for safety and health is in the interest of the individual, the employer and the state, and it is therefore crucial that all these parties cooperate with each other.
