Revitalizacija zapuščenega območja skladišč in zasnova večnamenskega kulturnega središča v Čakovcu

Abstract

Čakovec se sooča s pomanjkanjem ustanov in prostorov za potrebe kulturnih dejavnosti in družabnega življenja prebivalcev. Degradirana lokacija starih skladišč na robu mestnega središča Čakovca kvari podobo tega dela mesta in ponuja priložnost za urbano regeneracijo. Na podlagi izvedenih raziskav, prostorskih analiz in zbranih podatkov v teoretičnem delu naloge, ki obravnava teme medgeneracijskih okolij in prilagodljivih strategij ponovne uporabe, je predlagana nova urbanistično - arhitekturna idejna zasnova. Staro skladišče, ki je v primernem stanju, se ohrani in je v koncept nove ureditve vključeno s pomočjo strateških pristopov (vstavljanje, jukstapozicija, parazit - dodatek). V novi zasnovi predvideni trije stavbni volumni zamejujejo osrednji javni prostor, ki postane povezovalni element med severnim in južnim delom Čakovca. Program obsega kulturne, izobraževalne, zabavne in športne vsebine ter hostel.

Secondary title:	Revitalisation of an abandoned warehouse area and design of the multipurpose cultural hub in Čakovec
Secondary abstract:	Čakovec faces a shortage of institutions and spaces for cultural activities and social life of its residents. The dilapidated condition of a cluster of old warehouses located on the edge on Čakovec town centre disturbs the appearance of that part of town, and presents an opportunity for urban regeneration. This project proposes a new urban and architectural design, based on research, spatial analysis and data collected and discussed in the theoretical part of the assignment, which looks at intergenerational environments and adaptive reuse strategies. The old warehouse, which is in a satisfactory condition, has been preserved and incorporated into the concept of the new scheme, using strategic approaches (insertion, juxtaposition, parasite / addition). In the new design, the three planned building volumes encircle the central public space, which becomes a connecting element between the northern and southern parts of Čakovec. The programme includes cultural, educational, entertainment and sports facilities, and a hostel.
