Abstract

Rezultati empiričnega dela so nam ponudili vpogled v analizo stresa in zavzetosti.

Secondary title: Influence of factors of stress in workplace and employee commitment in company X
Secondary abstract: Everyone can be under stress, both in their private life and in their workplace. We experience it differently and it affects everyone in a distinct way. For this reason, stress in the workplace and employee commitment are topics that are nowadays being increasingly discussed. The theoretical part of the master's thesis defines stress as well as its symptoms and consequences. It presents stress management methods in individuals and at the organisation level. Employee commitment and possibilities to increase it are also portrayed. The empirical part of the master's thesis analyses stress and commitment in a selected company, offering an insight into the actual state based on theoretical starting points. Stemming from the results of the survey performed in the selected company, we found the extent to which their employees experience stress in the workplace. In addition, we learnt about the most common consequences of stress and to what extent the employees feel them. We determined the factors of stress in the workplace in the selected company that are the most common and the stress management methods that are most used by the employees. We also learnt how the employees would rate their commitment to the organisation. The results of the empirical part provided insight into the analysis of stress and commitment, based on which we either confirmed or refuted the set hypotheses. We learnt that it is not statistically significant that men experience stress more than women, that there is a partial negative correlation between stress and commitment in the workplace and that nearly a half of older employees overcome stress with regular physical activity. We also found that stress in the workplace is caused by poor work organisation.
