Abstract

Zgodnje naravoslovje je otrokovo prvo doživetje v naravi. Osebnostni razvoj pri otrocih v njih spodbuja radovednost in željo po raziskovanju. Vzgojitelji moramo omogočiti otrokovo sodelovanje pri dejavnostih ter pristne izkušnje. Otroci si pri eksperimentiranju nabirajo še dodatne izkušnje ter si stvari lažje in hitreje zapomnijo. Diplomska naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili zgodnje naravoslovje ter vlogo vzgojitelja. Predstavili smo tudi proces gorenja in procese povezane z njim. Prav tako smo na kratko opisali tudi gorenje sveče ter sestavo le te. V teoretičnem delu smo raziskali tudi že predstavljene raziskave podobne naši. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili raziskavo, ki smo jo izvedi v OŠ Selnica ob Dravi - vrtec Kobanček. Sodelovali so otroci stari od 4 do 6 let. Izvedli smo eksperiment s svečo ter kozarcem. Ugotavljali smo, zakaj sveča ugasne, ko jo s kozarcem pokrijemo. Eksperiment smo izvajali individualno. Otroci so naše hipoteze potrdili s svojimi odgovori ter razmišljanjem pred in po izvedenem eksperimentu. Ugotovili smo, da otroci še ne vedo, kaj sveča potrebuje za gorenje, otroci vedo, da se bo sveča stalila pri gorenju. Prav tako vedo, da bo sveča ugasnila, ko jo bomo pokrili s kozarcem. Otroci prav tako ne vedo, kaj je vzrok, da sveča ugasne, če jo pokrijemo s kozarcem. Bili so navdušeni nad izvedenim eksperimentom. Takšne dejavnosti pritegnejo pozornost otrok ter jih še bolj spodbudijo k raziskovanju, zato bi jih lahko več vključevali v vsakodnevne načrtovane dejavnosti.

Secondary abstract: Early natural science is child's first experience in nature. Personality development in children encourages curiosity and a desire to explore. Kindergarten teachers must enable child's participation in activities and authentic experiences. When experimenting, children gain additional experience and remember things more easily and quickly. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we presented early natural science and the role of the educator. We also presented the burning process and processes related to it. We also briefly described the burning of the candle and its composition. In the theoretical part, we researched already presented research similar to ours. In the empirical part, we presented the research that we conducted in Primary School Selnica ob Dravi - Kindergarten Kobanček. Children aged 4 to 6 participated. We performed an experiment with a candle and a glass. We were finding out why the candle goes out when we cover it with a glass. We performed the experiment individually. The children confirmed our hypotheses with their answers and thinking before and after the experiment. We found that the children do not yet know what a candle needs to burn, but they know that the candle will melt as it burns. They also know that the candle will go out when we cover it with a glass. Children also do not know what causes a candle to go out if it is covered with a glass. They were enthusiastic about the experiment. Such activities attract children's attention and encourage them to explore even more, so they could be included more in daily planned activities.
