Abstract

Največ učiteljev obeh vzgojno-izobraževalnih obdobij pozna in uporablja konstrukcijsko zbirko LEGO. Poleg LEGA še poznajo in uporabljajo zbirko didaktičnih konstrukcijskih delovnih gradiv založbe Izotech; konstrukcijsko zbirko Fischertechnik ipd.

Secondary title: Integrating construction puzzles in the context of the learning process at the primary level education within the Podravje region and involving pupils in construction competitions
Secondary abstract: In the Master's thesis, we wanted to know which construction sets elementary school teachers of the Podravska region are familiar with, how they incorporate them in the learning process, and whether they include students in construction competitions. 59 teachers participated in the survey. Most teachers of both educational cycles know and use the LEGO construction set. Additionally, they are familiar with and use the set of educational working materials from the Izotech publishing house, the Fischertechnik construction set, etc. In the subject Environmental Studies, teachers mostly use construction sets in the thematic set Forces and Movement, where students build various vehicles, observe movement and build bridges, and with the thematic set Traffic, where they simulate traffic. In Science and Technology, the thematic set Forces and Movement stood out the most, where students construct vehicles on various drives, bridges, swings, different types of drivers, pullies, etc. We found that teachers in nature study classes use construction sets more often than teachers in science and technology classes. The construction completion is fairly unknown; more than half of the teachers are not familiar with it. Students of only four teachers participate in the competition, whereas only one teacher teaching classes 4 to 6 is also a competition mentor. Among the reasons for non-participation was the reason of unfamiliarity with the competition, followed by the reason that teachers were not acquainted with the topic.
