Abstract

V diplomski nalogi obravnavamo pojav in pomembno vlogo digitalne pismenosti v razvijajočem okolju digitalnih medijev. Osredotočamo se na digitalno pismenost kot veščino posameznika za navigiranje družbenih medijev in njeno vlogo pri zaznavanju zavajajočih informacij in boju proti njihovemu širjenju. V prvem delu skozi teorijo opredelimo glavne koncepte, kot so digitalni mediji, digitalna pismenost in zaznavanje zavajajočih informacij. V drugem delu pa izvedemo raziskavo vpliva socialno-demografskih in socialno-ekonomskih dejavnikov na stopnjo digitalne pismenosti posameznika, ter nadalje, kako le-te vplivajo na zaznavanje zavajajočih informacij na družbenih medijih.

Secondary title: Digital literacy as motivation in combating misinformation
Secondary abstract: In this thesis, we discuss the emergence and important role of digital literacy in the developing environment of digital media. We focus on digital literacy as an individual's skill to navigate social media and its role in detecting misinformation and combating its spread. In the first part of the thesis, through a theoretical review, we define the main concepts such as digital media, digital literacy and the perception of misinformation. In the second part, we conduct research on the influence of socio-demographic and socio-economic factors on the level of digital literacy of an individual, and further, how literacy affects a person's ability to detect misinformation on social media.
