Secondary title: | Numerical determination of the characteristics of a synchronous motor with different sizes of permanent magnets |
Secondary abstract: | The master's thesis presents a numerical approach to modelling and designing a synchronous motor with permanent magnets. A specialized software, Flux, was used for this purpose. The numerical analysis of the permanent magnet's constructional parameters was performed to obtain the desired torque characteristics, where the aim objectives were the torque's ripple and ratio torque vs. magnets' volume. The results indicate that the presented approach adopted for the motor's design process could lead to more energy-efficient design solutions. |
