Secondary abstract: Analysis of web site traffic, or web analysis for short is a very young branch in computer science, which is becoming increasingly important in the modern world. The share of sales and advertising via the Internet is increasingly growing and web analysis offers ways to optimize the site to be more user friendly and consequently keep user on site longer. The analysis can be done on technical and business level. Technical analysis provides a measurement and presentation of events on the server, such as the bandwidth, number of hits, referer, the percentage of successful / unsuccessful requests etc. On the other hand, the business analysis deals with the behavior of the user on site. Where a user clicks, the pages from which he purchases products, pages from which he leaves our site, etc. The main ideas and concepts of web analysis are presented in the first two chapters of this diploma thesis. The main emphasis of the diploma thesis was on the development of the system, which collects data from the server and presents them via a web application for chart and matrix based analysis. In order to offer the system for use and further development, all of the technologies, as well as the application are open source based.
