Abstract
Tehnike deeskalacije, namenjene zmanjševanju agresije in spodbujanju občutka miru, so postale ključne za zagotavljanje oskrbe na psihiatričnih oddelkih.
Najbolj uporabljene in učinkovite deeskalacijske tehnike so bile umirjen pogovor, premikanje pacienta v drugo sobo in preživljanje časa ena na ena.

The use of de-escalation techniques in patients with aggressive behaviour and mental disorder |
| Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Managing aggressive behaviour in patients with mental disorders is a complex challenge in mental health care. De-escalation techniques aimed at reducing aggression and promoting a sense of calm have become crucial for providing effective and compassionate care in mental health wards.
Methods: We reviewed, analysed, and synthesized the literature on the use of de-escalation techniques in patients with aggressive behaviour and mental disorder. PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), ScienceDirect and Cochrane Library were searched.
Results: A total of 382 studies were identified and five were included in the final analysis. The most used and effective de-escalation techniques were calm talking, moving the patient to another room and spending one-on-one time. De-escalation techniques were successful for managing aggressive behaviour in patients with a mental disorder.
Discussion and Conclusion: The use of de-escalation techniques in the management of patients with aggressive behaviour and mental disorders is crucial to promote a safer and more therapeutic healthcare environment. De-escalation techniques prioritise communication, empathy and understanding as essential tools for resolving tense situations. By integrating de-escalation strategies into standard practice, healthcare settings can prioritise the safety and well-being of patients and staff, thus promoting a more compassionate and therapeutic healing environment. |
