Secondary abstract:	Main objectives of diploma thesis are overview of existing desktop and web applications, which are used for vizualization and directing of tournaments in different sports and developement of web application, which can be used for directing tournaments. For purposes of web application we developed data model which we later transform into database. Developed web application can be used for directing tournaments using single-elimination system. Users who want to use this web application must register. Application keeps records of victories, defeats and rating for every user in every sport he/she has ever played on all tournaments. Application user can also view some statistics data like, number of victories, age, country of players who are subscribed to tournaments, etc.
