Abstract

Podnebne spremembe so vse večji problem vsake posamezne države sveta. Podnebnim spremembam so bolj izpostavljene revne države in države v razvoju.

Secondary title: The impact of global warming on safety of world population
Secondary abstract: Climate change poses an escalating challenge both globally and at the national level of every individual country in the world. The primary driver behind climate change is global warming, primarily attributed to greenhouse gas emissions increasingly released into the atmosphere due to human activities. Key sectors contributing to this issue include transportation, industry, energy production, and agriculture. Addressing this problem necessitates collaboration among all nations, establishing unified legislation, and raising awareness among individuals about the severity of the issue. It is worth noting that poor countries, developing nations, and small island states are particularly vocal about climate change, as they are most profoundly affected by it. This is an area that requires increasing attention since drastic climate change can negatively impact our lives, often without us being fully aware of it. To determine Slovenia's perspective on climate change, we conducted interviews with key institutions operating in this field. Everyone believed that greenhouse gas emissions from factories and cars contributed the most to pollution, and that agriculture was also to blame. Although climate change is a problem for the whole world, poor countries and developing countries are more exposed to climate change itself. They also believe that our safety is threatened by climate change, as the frequency and intensity of extreme events will increase. To have a positive impact on climate change, we need to change our daily habits, e.g., ensure proper recycling, eat seasonal and local food, reduce food waste, care for a clean environment, and so on. We will have to learn how to adapt to climate change, for example, through irrigation, setting up countercurrent networks, warning of extreme natural events, appropriate construction, and the like.
