Secondary title: Private cloud deployment using VMware vCloud
Secondary abstract: Cloud computing changes the IT sphere and brings numerous advantages and opportunities to organizations, which can contribute to improve business efficiency. The thesis addresses the cloud computing topic and focuses on the fields of private and hybrid clouds, where we want to establish an environment with the use of current and established technologies. The goal of the environment is to enable and provide self-provisioning of the infrastructure - IaaS services. In the introductory part we addressed the basic concepts of virtualization which is a key cloud computing technology. We also introduced the basic concepts of cloud computing, where we identified the essential characteristics of the cloud computing model. In the following part we provided a detailed overview of VMware vCloud solution, in which we described the individual components and analyzed key functionalities and building blocks of the solution. In addition, we described the establishment of the private cloud architecture, with the inclusion of best practice analysis. We provided architecture design and we implemented it using the vCloud solution. Finally, we have shown the concepts and benefits of hybrid clouds, while implementing the hybrid cloud platform.
