Secondary abstract:	Thesis represents Near Field Communication technology, shortly NFC, via its development and functionalities. It also discusses various security issues, most widely used information systems for mobile payments, as well as other cases of use. One of them is developed as part of this thesis, mobile application for Android operating system called NFC Traveler. It is described with its supportive server side. Presented are all necessary technologies used for developing and planning of NFC Traveler, at the forefront of the Android operating system. Application will demonstrate the use of NFC technology and will be used as a tour guide. NFC tags will mark certain tourist spots, which users can visit with help of application and then view its details. It will also enable viewing of all the tourist spots and details without prior visit.
