Abstract

V okviru diplomske naloge sem določil več mehanskih lastnosti bukve. To sta tlačni trdnosti v smeri vzporedno z vlakni in pravokotno na vlakna, ter pripadajoča elastična modula. Preizkuse sem izvajal v skladu s standardom SIST EN 408:2010 + A1:2012. Za preiskave v smeri vzporedno z vlakni sem uporabil 18 preizkušancev, v smeri pravokotno na vlakna pa 24. V uvodnem delu sem opisal lastnosti lesa in njegovem pomenu na našem ozemlju. Nato sem opisal potek preizkusov ter prikazal rezultate. Na koncu sem preveril še medsebojno odvisnost med izmerjenimi mehanskimi lastnostmi. Ugotovil sem, da sta tlačna trdnost in togost v smeri vzporedno z vlakni znatno večja od tlačne trdnosti in togosti pravokotno na vlakna, ter da med tema količinama ne obstaja nikakršna statistično značilna povezava.

Secondary title: Strength and stiffness measurements of beech timber
Secondary abstract: As part of my thesis, I determined several mechanical properties of beech wood. These include compressive strength parallel and perpendicular to the grain, as well as their respective elastic moduli. The tests were conducted in accordance with the standard SIST EN 408:2010 + A1:2012. For the tests parallel to the grain, I used 18 specimens, and for those perpendicular to the grain, I used 24. In the introduction, I described the characteristics of wood and its significance in our region. I then proceeded to outline the testing procedures and present the results. Finally, I examined the interdependence between the measured mechanical properties. I discovered that the compressive strength and stiffness parallel to the grain are significantly greater than the compressive strength and stiffness perpendicular to the grain, and that there is no statistically significant relationship between these quantities.
