Secondary title: | The coonnection analysis of POCT medical devices into the Healthcare Information System |
Secondary abstract: | Our aim was to research the field of blood analysing devices on the market. Most of them fit into a group of POCT (Point of care Testing) devices. The challenge was to analyse how such devices communicate with larger HIS systems and to find a solution to communication or data transmission problems. The research covers many different areas, from understanding how the HIS and LIS systems work, what communication standards and protocols are used to connect POCT devices and HIS/LIS systems, to basic understanding of what elements are analysed while doing blood tests. The work presents different communication standards, architecture of the system and implements a solution which connects the HIS and Radiometer from the laboratory. This way the laboratory and HIS can now communicate easier, faster and more efficiently. |
