diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Student work in Slovenia during covid-19 pandemic
Secondary abstract: Student work is an excellent opportunity for young people to gain experience, work habits and get to know different work environments. During the global pandemic, however, this changed unpredictably. Many businesses closed their doors, student work was put on the side and no one knew what to expect. In the thesis, we wanted to investigate the real situation with student work during covid-19 with the help of a survey. The aim was to use the obtained data and literature to confirm or refute the hypotheses, while at the same time comparing the attitudes and differences between other countries in this area. We were interested in what consequences the global pandemic had on student work, how many young people were able to work and what kind of work they were able to do, what problems they faced in finding student work and whether the salary for students who worked during the pandemic increased. With the help of a questionnaire, we wanted to obtain the opinion of young people on the researched topic. With the help of descriptive data analysis, we found that the offer of student jobs was significantly smaller during this time and that students faced difficulties in finding work due to the reduced number of jobs and the closure of companies. For this very reason, many students did not work during the pandemic or got involved in new forms of work that appeared at the time. Many students also think that they perceived more negative experiences during the pandemic than positive ones. The research data shows that we were really not prepared for this and that we need to pay more attention to it in the future so that we know how to act correctly in the event of a similar situation.
