Abstract

Nalogo Tehnike pripovedi in književne osebe v problemskih romanih Janje Vidmar sestavljajo uvod, teoretični in praktični del in sklep. V uvodu predstavimo namen in potek dela, literarno delo Janje Vidmar in problematiko v zvezi z mladinskim problemskim romanom in večnaslovniško mladinsko književnostjo.

Secondary title: Narrative techniques and literary figures in the problem novels of Janja Vidmar
Secondary abstract: The master’s thesis Narrative Techniques and Literary Persons in the Problem Novels of Janja Vidmar consists of an introduction, a theoretical and a practical part and a conclusion. In the introduction we present the purpose and the course of the thesis, the literary work of Janja Vidmar and the issues related to the young adult problem novel and crossover literature. The first, theoretical, part discusses the theoretical foundations of literary writing and reading techniques as elaborated by narrative theory and reception theory. These two theories imply that literary narration and reading are inextricably linked. The literary person would be unilaterally presented if both sides of a literary work were not taken into account. The second, practical part is divided into two units. In the first, we apply narrative techniques to selected novels: Baraba, Debeluška, Fantje iz gline and Princeska z napako. We look at them from the point of view of the plot, the theme, the main character, the narrator and any other peculiarity we have detected. At the end of this unit, we summarise our findings. In the second unit of practical part, we focus on two aspects of reading the novels analysed. Firstly, there is the development of reading ability, as evidenced by the very designation of literature, on which we are interested here, as young adult and crossover. This is followed by a consideration of the ethical impact of the problem novels on the young reader and the interaction between the two. In conclusion, we briefly present our findings.
