zaključna naloga Univerzitetnega študijskega programa I. stopnje Strojništvo - Razvojno raziskovalni program

Abstract

Polimeri so v današnjem času nepogrešljivi inženirski materiali. S tehnikama diferenčne dinamične kalorimetrije in dinamične mehanske analize smo proučevali, kako se vrednost temperature steklastega prehoda (Tg) spreminja s spreminjanjem hitrosti segrevanja in ob izpostavljenosti vremenskim vplivom.

Secondary abstract: Polymers are indispensable engineering materials in today's time. In the scope of this thesis, we used technical literature to analyze the structure and properties of polymers that affect their use in structures. This thesis aims to determine how the rate of temperature change and exposure to weather conditions affect selected polymeric materials. Experiments were conducted on the polymers polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), and polyoxymethylene (POM). Using the techniques of differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical analysis, we studied how the value of the glass transition temperature (Tg) changes when changing the heating rates or exposing the material to weather conditions. With increasing heating rates, the temperature at the beginning of the Tg range increased for PC and PMMA, while the change of heating rate had no effect on POM. Exposure to weather conditions caused a significant amount of moisture absorption in PMMA, while changes in PC and POM were negligible.
