Abstract

Magistrsko delo izhaja iz ideje o ozaveščanju in spodbujanju k izkoriščanju polnega potenciala Automotodroma Grobnik, največje in najbolj ocenjene steze na področju bivše Jugoslavije, kar bi bistveno prispevalo k razvoju lokalnega in nacionalnega gospodarstva. Zaradi močne okoljske stigme je sledilo raziskovanje zgodovine avtomobilskih dirk, njihove povezave z arhitekturo in preučitev okoljskega odtisa samega športa. Cilj projekta je ozaveščanje o prostorskem potencialu Automotodroma Grobnik, regeneracija degradirane krajine, oblikovanje večnamenske trajnostno koncipirane stavbe ter z arhitekturno intervencijo v neosebnem prostoru ustvariti okoljsko sprejemljivo prepoznavnost in na čim boljši način dopolniti program ter celotno športno podobo Grobnika.

Secondary abstract: The master’s thesis is based on the idea of raising awareness and encouraging the full potential of the Automotodrom Grobnik, the largest and highest-rated track in the former Yugoslavia, which would significantly contribute to the development of the local and national economy. Due to the strong environmental stigma, research into the history of motor racing, its connection with architecture, and an examination of the sport's environmental footprint followed. The goal of the project is to raise awareness of the spatial potential of the Grobnik Automotodrom, to regenerate the degraded landscape, to create a multi-purpose, sustainably designed building, and to create an environmentally acceptable recognition through an architectural intervention in an impersonal space and to complement the program and the entire sporting image of Grobnik in the best possible way.
