Abstract

Merili smo naslednje gibalne sposobnosti: moč, koordinacija, ravnotežje, gibljivost, hitrost in vzdržljivost. Vse gibalne sposobnosti smo merili v okviru športno vzgojnega kartona.

Secondary title: The importance on nine-pin bowling for the development of children's motor skills in the secondary educational period
Secondary abstract: The goal of the research was to determine if nine-pin bowling is connected with the development of children's motor skills. In the research the participants were the children of the 2nd educational period from different elementary school and nine-pin bowling clubs across Slovenia. This included 100 children in the ages from 9-12 years from which there were 48 nine-pin bowlers (25 boys, 23 girls) and 52 non nine-pin bowlers (29 boys, 23 girls). We measured the following mobility skills: strength, coordination, balance, mobility, speed and endurance. All motor skills were measured within the framework of the sports education card. We processed the data in SPSS and the t-test was used to determine whether there were statistically significant differences. A comparison between the groups of nine-pin bowlers (boys) and non-nine-pin bowlers (boys) showed that the nine-pin bowlers achieved better and statistically more important results in the tests of forward bending, standing on the T-bench, body lifting, 600m running and bent arm hang. The results between nine-pin bowlers (girls) and non-nine-pin bowlers (girls) showed that the nine-pin bowlers achieved better and statistically significant results in the tests of arm plate tapping, long jump, overcoming obstacles backwards, body lifting, bent arm hang and standing on the T-bench. In the speed tests (T60) there are no statistically significant differences between both boys and girl groups. Based on the obtained results we can conclude, that nine-pin bowling is related to the development of motor skills.
