Posodobitev računalniškega omrežja v srednji šoli

Abstract

Zaključno delo obravnava prenovo omrežne infrastrukture v izbrani izobraževalni ustanovi z namenom izboljšanja njene učinkovitosti, zanesljivosti in varnosti. Področje, na katero se delo nanaša, zajema računalniška omrežja in njihove komponente, vključno z omrežnimi stikali, omrežno shrambo (NAS) in storitvami oddaljenega dostopa (RDS). Namen naloge je bil analizirati obstoječe stanje omrežja, identificirati glavne težave in omejitve, načrtovati in implementirati prenovo omrežja ter oceniti rezultate in koristi prenove. V nalogi so uporabljene metode analize obstoječega stanja, načrtovanja nove omrežne arhitekture, izbire ustrezne strojne in programske opreme, implementacije rešitev in testiranja delovanja novega omrežja. Poglavitni rezultati dela vključujejo zamenjavo zastarelih stikal z novimi, ki podpirajo gigabitne hitrosti, nadgradnjo omrežne shrambe z novo napravo NAS, ki omogoča večjo kapaciteto in hitrejši dostop do podatkov, ter implementacijo Remote Desktop Services (RDS) za centralizirano upravljanje aplikacij in dostop do njih. Prenova omrežja je prinesla izboljšave v hitrosti prenosa podatkov, zmanjšala število izpadov ter omogočila boljše upravljanje in vzdrževanje omrežja.

Secondary abstract:	The thesis addresses the renovation of the network infrastructure in a selected educational institution with the aim of improving its efficiency, reliability, and security. The scope of the work includes computer networks and their components, including network switches, network-attached storage (NAS), and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). The purpose of the thesis was to analyze the current state of the network, identify major issues and limitations, plan and implement the network renovation, and evaluate the results and benefits of the renovation. The methods used in the thesis include the analysis of the current state, planning a new network architecture, selecting appropriate hardware and software, implementing solutions, and testing the performance of the new network. The main results of the work include the replacement of outdated switches with new ones supporting gigabit speeds, the upgrade of network storage with a new NAS device providing greater capacity and faster data access, and the implementation of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) for centralized application management and access. The network renovation has resulted in improvements in data transfer speed, reduced the number of outages, and enabled better network management and maintenance.
