Abstract

Diplomsko delo z naslovom Uporaba slikanice Zadnja sladkorna penica za razvoj matematičnih spretnosti pri otrocih prvega starostnega obdobja se dotika področja zgodnjega učenja in poučevanja matematike s pomočjo otroške literature. V diplomskem delu smo v teoretičnem delu izpostavili pomembnost povezovanja med področjema matematike ter jezika, podrobno smo predstavili slikanico kot sredstvo za izobraževanje ter njeno pomembno vlogo v vrtcu. V okviru praktičnega dela diplomskega dela smo pripravili in izvedli dejavnosti na temo in vsebino slikanice Zadnja sladkorna penica. Dejavnosti smo izvedli v skupini otrok prvega starostnega obdobja. S pomočjo opazovalnih listov smo spremljali sodelovanje otrok pri pripravljenih matematičnih dejavnostih in ugotovili, da je slikanica Zadnja sladkorna penica lahko dobro izhodišče za osnovanje matematičnih dejavnosti, ki bi bile primerne za otroke prvega starostnega obdobja.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis titled The Development of Mathematical Skills of the First Age Group Children by Using the Picture Book "The Last Marshmallow" studies the field of early learning and teaching of mathematics through children's literature. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we highlighted the importance of connecting the fields of mathematics and language, presented the picture book in detail as an educational tool, and emphasized its significant role in kindergartens. As part of the practical section of the diploma thesis, we prepared and conducted activities based on the theme and content of the picture book "The Last Marshmallow". These activities were carried out with a group of children in the first age group. Using observation sheets, we monitored the children's participation in the prepared mathematical activities and concluded, that the picture book "The Last Marshmallow" can be a good starting point for creating mathematical activities suitable for children of the first age group.
