Abstract

Secondary title: Comparison of tertiary and lifelong entrepreneurship education in Slovenia and Croatia
Secondary abstract: An increasing number of individuals choosing the entrepreneurship career emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurial education as the key to success in the entrepreneurial world. Tertiary entrepreneurship education, offered by higher vocational schools, faculties, colleges and independent higher education institutions, enables students to acquire entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and gain insight into the world of entrepreneurship. In contrast, lifelong entrepreneurial education ensures constant updating of knowledge and adaptation to rapid changes and progress in the business environment. In this context, the comparison of entrepreneurship education between Slovenia and Croatia – two European countries that are geographically close to each other and share a common history, but at the same time have different developments – is particularly relevant. Slovenia has been a member of the EU for a long time and the two countries have differently structured economy. Slovenia is more focused on promoting entrepreneurial activity and supporting entrepreneurs. Croatia is also intensively developing its entrepreneurial education, but has not yet reached the level of intensity observed in Slovenia. Analyzing these differences and similarities can provide a thorough insight into successful entrepreneurial education strategies and practices in both countries.
