Abstract

Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo najprej predstavili matematiko v predšolskem obdobju, področje aritmetike v predšolskem obdobju s poudarkom na številih, načela štetja, strategije štetja, principe štetja, stopnje štetja in kontekste štetja. Opredelili smo pojem subitizacija, navedli vrste subitizacije in predstavili nekaj iger, pri katerih se uporablja subitizacija, ki so primerne za predšolske otroke. Poseben poudarek smo posvetili tudi igram na splošno ter matematičnim igram v predšolskem obdobju. V okviru praktičnega dela smo podrobno predstavili matematične aktivnosti, preko katerih smo otrokom v vrtcu približali igro Številska vrsta. Večina otrok je pokazala motivacijo za sodelovanje v igri Številska vrsta. Že pri prvi predstavitvi igre je večina otrok razumela pravila in igrala igro brez potrebe po dodatni pomoči.

Secondary title: Using the Number sequence game in the preschool period
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, we first presented mathematics in the preschool period, the field of arithmetic in the preschool period with an emphasis on numbers, the principles of counting, counting strategies, counting principles, stages of counting, and counting contexts. We defined the concept of subitizing, listed the types of subitizing, and presented some games that use subitizing, which are suitable for preschool children. We also paid special attention to games in general and mathematical games in the preschool period. In the practical part, we presented in detail mathematical activities through which we introduced the game Number Line to children in kindergarten. Most of the children showed motivation to participate in the Number Line game. Even at the first introduction of the game, most of the children understood the rules and played the game without the need for additional help.
