| Secondary abstract: | The master's thesis focuses on the development of optical sensor systems, where low-coherence interferometry is used for sensor differentiation. The main objective of the thesis is to deepen the understanding of the operation of a thermo-optic path modulator by conducting simulations of the thermal response of the system and by developing a thermo-optic fiber modulator that enables optical path modulation in the range of 100 micrometers. The work also includes the creation of a demonstrator for strain measurement and the corresponding simulations of mechanical loads. |
