Abstract
Glavni poudarek diplomske naloge je razvoj in implementacija ključnih sistemov in tehnologij pri vpeljavi avtonomnih ladij v pomorski promet. Poudarili smo navigacijske in komunikacijske sisteme, pogon ladij in potrebne infrastrukturne spremembe v industriji. Posvetili smo se tudi, danes sporni tematiki, uvajanju umetne inteligence v sisteme, ki odločajo o življenju, kar bo seveda zelo pomembno pri takšnih ladjah. Analizirali smo tudi vpliv avtonomnih ladij na gospodarstvo in pomorsko industrijo. Raziskali smo tudi omejitve, s katerimi se spoprijemajo razvijalci avtonomnih ladij danes. Omejujoč je tudi pravni vidik odgovornosti pri morebitnih nesrečah. Pomemben del razprave vpeljave avtonomnih ladij je tudi človeški dejavnik, s čimer bi občutno izboljšali varnosti plovbe in praktično izničili tveganje izgube življenj, vendar bi to pomenilo veliko izgubljenih delovnih mest pomorščakov in potrebo po zaposlitvah v novih poklicih v pomorski industriji. Še ena potencialna ovira, ki smo se ji posebej posvetili, je kibernetska zaščita avtonomnih ladij, saj bodo te ladje z množico računalnikov v lastnem računalniškem omrežju z dostopom od zunaj brez ustreznih zaščitnih ukrepov in sistemov lahka tarča hekerskih napadov.

The focus of this work is on the development and implementation of systems and technologies that will be crucial for the introduction of autonomous ships in maritime transport. We have looked at navigation and communication systems, ship propulsion and the necessary infrastructural changes in the industry. We have also looked at the now controversial issue of the introduction of artificial intelligence in vital systems, which will of course play a very important role in such vessels. We have also analysed the impact of autonomous ships on the economy and the maritime industry. And, of course, we have also analysed the limitations that the developers of autonomous ships are facing today. Another limitation is the legal aspect of liability in the event of accidents. The human factor is also an important part of the debate on the introduction of autonomous ships, which on the one hand would significantly improve the safety of shipping and virtually eliminate the risk of loss of life, but on the other hand would also mean a large number of jobs for seafarers and the need for new professions in the maritime industry. Another potential obstacle that we have specifically addressed is the cyber protection of autonomous ships, as these ships will have a large number of computers on their own computer network that can be accessed externally and will be an easy target for hacker attacks without adequate protection measures and systems. |
