Abstract

Raziskovalni problem diplomske naloge obsega temeljito obravnavanje Montessori pedagogike in likovno izražanje predšolskih otrok. Opisuje življenje in delo Marie Montessori, glavne koncepte in načela te pedagogike ter se osredotoča na vlogo otroka, okolja in vzgojitelja. Opredeli razvoj otroka in raziskuje glavne značilnosti likovnega izražanja otrok v Montessori vrtcu. Diplomska naloga vsebuje poleg teoretičnega raziskovanja praktični del, v katerem raziskujem, kako se načela Montessori pedagogike kažejo v praksi in pri umetniškem ustvarjanju predšolskih otrok. Posebno pozornost sem namenila metodam in pristopom likovne vzgoje v Montessori pedagogiki, s katerimi sem raziskala uporabo različnih likovnih materialov in tehnik. Analizirala sem lastno delo in izdelke otrok pri likovnih delavnicah, ki sem jih izvedla v Montessori vrtcu. Pri tem sem bila pozorna na teoretska načela in kako se ta izražajo v praksi. Analizirala sem, kako likovne delavnice vplivajo na razvoj likovnih spretnosti in ustvarjalnost otrok. Temo sem izbrala, saj so me od nekdaj zanimali alternativni pristopi vzgoje in kako ti vplivajo na različna področja pri otroškem razvoju.

Secondary abstract: The research problem of this thesis involves a thorough examination of Montessori pedagogy and the artistic expression of preschool children. It describes the life and work of Maria Montessori, the main concepts and principles of this pedagogy, and focuses on the role of the child, the environment, and the educator. The thesis defines child development and explores the main characteristics of children's artistic expression in a Montessori kindergarten. In addition to theoretical research, the thesis includes a practical part, where I explore how the principles of Montessori pedagogy manifest in practice and in the artistic creation of preschool children. Special attention was given to the methods and approaches of art education in Montessori pedagogy, through which I explored the use of various art materials and techniques. I analysed my own work and the children's artworks during the art workshops I conducted in the Montessori kindergarten, paying close attention to theoretical principles and how they are expressed in practice. I also analysed how the art workshops influence the development of children's artistic skills and creativity. I chose this topic because I have always been interested in alternative educational approaches and how they affect various aspects of child development.
