diplomsko delo
Abstract
Študije predstavljene v tem diplomskem delu so bile velikokrat pilotne, saj se odkriva nove postopke in tlakuje smernice za nadaljnjo raziskovanje. Zaradi zelo omejenih raziskav izsledkov le-teh ne moremo posploševati, saj so v raziskavah uporabili majhno število živali. Vendar so rezultati poskusov zelo spodbudni, čeprav zahtevajo še veliko nadaljnjega testiranja. Največji stranski učinki so bili hipersalivacija in oblizovanje.

Cannabinoide use and impact in dogs and cats |
Secondary abstract: |
In the BSc thesis, we reviewed current studies on the use of cannabinoids in dogs and cats. The presented studies were often pilot studies as new procedures are being discovered and guidelines for further research are being established. Due to the limited nature of these studies, the results cannot be generalized as they often involved a very small sample of animals. However, the results of the experiments are very encouraging but still require further testing. Throughout the preparation of the thesis, we found that the knowledge of the endocannabinoid system in dogs is better than in cats, with more studies conducted in dogs. In the experiments carried out so far, both dogs and cats have been observed to improve their mental and physical health as well as alleviate the effects of various chronic diseases. The most significant side effects observed have been hypersalivation and licking. Particularly in cats, there has often been an increase in liver enzyme activity. |
