100 let Slovenskega etnografskega muzeja
Urša Valič (Author)

Abstract

Secondary abstract: Using the example of the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, this article shows how items displayed at museums and their interpretations create seemingly self-evident images and perceptions of a specific community. It presents contemporary museological bases, whose meanings are shaped within specific historical and social contexts and, first and foremost, through relationships with others or through learning and communication processes, which represent the cultural production of knowledge, identities, and desires.
