| Secondary title: | Modification of the electric hob assembly concept |
| Secondary abstract: | The master’s thesis presents the process of modifying an electric hob assembly concept with the aim of shortening the operation time of assembling the glass-ceramic and the base plate on the production line. Firstly, the hob that is being modified is presented. This is followed by an overview of solutions found on the market and an overview of intellectual property. The design process starts with specifying the requirements. Loads on the assembly components are determined through calculations and experiments. The basic idea of the modification and its iterative improvements are presented. An accurate 3D model of the hob with the implied modification is created. Stress-strain analysis using FEM is used to confirm the design and material of the holder. Economic impact analysis of introducing the modification is also executed. The result of the master’s thesis is a prototype of the hob that enables faster assembly in production and reduces production costs. |
