diplomsko delo Visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa I. stopnje Strojništvo - Projektno aplikativni program
Abstract

Development of a rotary welding process for large diameter pipes |
Secondary abstract: |
When welding process pipelines, it is necessary to ensure that the welded joints have specific properties so that their interior does not provide a surface that would encourage the growth of micro-organisms and consequent contamination of the whole system. To this end, the use of mechanised or orbital welding is required for this type of welding. For the purposes of the study, welding was carried out on an RSWM 65/4 rotary welding machine for welding larger diameter pipes. The thesis presents the mechanised welding technique and the properties of the materials used, the quality requirements for the welds in the process plant and the requirements for the approval of the welding process. The methodology of the research presents experimental welding and tests for welding procedure approval according to SIST EN ISO 15614-1:2017/A1:2020 and level 2. We found that the welding machine and the developed welding technology achieve reproducible quality welds for pipelines with diameters greater than 150 mm and thicknesses greater than 2 mm. |
