Secondary title: Grounfwater model of aquifer in Medlog in Spodnja Savinjska dolina and simunlation of artificial recharge
Secondary abstract: The master thesis deals with groundwater modelling in the area of aquifer in Spodnja Savinjska dolina between Žalec and Celje. As a part of the thesis the three-dimensional predictive groundwater model of that area was developed. It was developed with the programme package Processing Modflow for Windows (PMWIN). For the development the data from the literature and the archives of the public company Vodovod – kanalizacija d.o.o. and Agencija RS za okolje were used. Further the model was calibrated by the measurements of groundwater levels. The model helped to carry out the steady-state simulations of the groundwater extraction of temporary maximum quantities, the extraction of increased quantities of groundwater from the wells in Medlog in dry conditions and the simulations of two possible variants of usage of artificial recharge of groundwater in the area of the wells in Medlog. The simulations have shown that the temporary quantities of the groundwater extraction from the wells can be increased and that the artificial recharge of the groundwater is an appropriate process for increasing the rates of flow of the wells in Medlog.
