Abstract

Naloga v teoretskem delu raziskuje zgodovinski kontekst, razvoj in pomen zadružnih domov v Sloveniji, njihovo povezavo z lokalnimi skupnostmi in njihov potencial v ponovnem povezovanju izginjajočih skupnosti na slovenskem podeželju. Prenova stavbo ponovno nameni raznolikim skupnostnim programom.

Secondary title: Participatory renovation of cooperative centre in Srednja Dobrava
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis presents renovation of the cooperative centre in Srednja Dobrava near Kropa. The building, constructed as a part of Yugoslavian project of building cooperative centres, is the only public building in the village, alongside the church. In the past, it hosted various activities and served as the center of the village and entire local community. With its rich cultural events and by securing the space for various activities for the community, it significantly contributed to raising the living standards and held a great importance within the community, which still refers to the building as "the home." The theoretical part of the thesis also explores the historical context, development, and significance of cooperative centres in Slovenia, their connection to local communities, and potential in reconnecting disappearing communities in rural Slovenia. The renovation is designed in a participatory manner through interviews and workshops, with the aim of preserving and strengthening the bond between the cooperative centre and the increasingly vanishing local community. The renovation repurposes the building for a variety of community programs. By establishing new connections within the building and adding a new extension in the place of an unbuilt theater, the existing rigid and relatively non-functional layout is adapted to meet the needs of the modern community. In this way, the building once again becomes the central space for social life, supporting a variety of community activities and thus connecting it.
