Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava vse bolj perečo problematiko zasedenosti in oskrbe v domovih za starejše v Sloveniji.

Secondary title: Nursing homes in the republic of slovenia: occupancy and care personnel by 2050
Secondary abstract: The thesis addresses the increasingly pressing issue of occupancy and care provision in nursing homes in Slovenia. It primarily focuses on the problem of insufficient capacity and long waiting times for a place in nursing homes. In addition, other interrelated issues are presented, which contribute to the growing complexity of the core problem. The current situation in the Republic of Slovenia is presented and analysed. Based on the results of demographic models, a forecast for the year 2050 is made. For comparison, the situation and best practices from neighboring Austria are briefly outlined. The conclusion of the thesis offers guidelines aimed at easing the path to care for the elderly in the coming years and moving towards a more sustainable state in the field of long-term care by 2050.
