Abstract
Magistrska naloga z naslovom »Analiza kritičnih dejavnikov uspeha uvajanja vertikalne informacijske rešitve v proizvodnem podjetju« obravnava kompleksnost uvajanja ERP sistemov v sodobnih proizvodnih podjetjih, s poudarkom na vertikalni rešitvi EBS SAP. Glavni namen raziskave je identificirati in analizirati ključne dejavnike, ki vplivajo na uspešnost uvedbe tovrstne rešitve, ter ponuditi praktična priporočila za prihodnje implementacije.
V teoretičnem delu je podrobno predstavljeno področje celovitih informacijskih rešitev (ERP), vključno z njihovo zgodovino, funkcionalnostmi, moduli in tipi ponudnikov. Opredeljeni so globalni in lokalni ponudniki ERP, prednosti in slabosti njihovih rešitev ter aktualni tehnološki trendi, kot so umetna inteligenca, internet stvari in ERP v oblaku. Poseben poudarek je namenjen tudi metodologiji uvajanja SAP rešitev, konkretno metodi SAP Activate, ki s svojimi šestimi fazami (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy in Run) zagotavlja strukturiran pristop k uvedbi sistema.
Empirični del temelji na poglobljeni študiji primera proizvodnega podjetja, ki je kot član globalne korporacije uvedlo vertikalno rešitev EBS SAP z namenom poenotenja poslovnih procesov in transparentnosti podatkov. Podjetje, ki ostaja anonimno, je prešlo iz obstoječega ERP sistema na novega, znotraj katerega so bili obravnavani ključni procesi kot so proizvodnja, skladiščenje, nabava in matični podatki. Uvedba je potekala v tesnem sodelovanju z mednarodnimi strokovnjaki, vključevala je vsakodnevno koordinacijo, številne delavnice, testiranja in postopno migracijo podatkov.
Analiza kritičnih dejavnikov uspeha (KDU) je pokazala, da ima največji vpliv na uspešnost projekta močna podpora vodstva, kompetentna in angažirana projektna ekipa, učinkovita komunikacija med oddelki, jasna strategija in cilji ter aktivno vključevanje končnih uporabnikov. Med pomembnimi dejavniki so se izkazali tudi usposabljanje uporabnikov, upravljanje sprememb, dobra priprava in kakovost podatkov ter podpora s strani ponudnika rešitve. Poseben izziv je predstavljala migracija podatkov, ki je zahtevala veliko usklajevanja, čiščenja in preverjanja pravilnosti podatkov, da bi bila nova rešitev učinkovita in zanesljiva.
Naloga potrjuje tri zastavljene hipoteze, ki poudarjajo pomen podpore vodstva, projektnega managementa in vključenosti uporabnikov pri uspešni uvedbi ERP rešitve. S tem raziskava prispeva k razumevanju, da je tehnologija zgolj del celotne zgodbe; ključni so organizacijski, procesni in človeški dejavniki, ki lahko odločilno vplivajo na uspešnost ali neuspeh projekta.
Zaključki naloge ponujajo konkretna priporočila za podjetja, ki se lotevajo podobnih projektov, zlasti glede priprave organizacije, izbire prave metodologije, strateškega načrtovanja ter aktivne vloge vseh deležnikov. Delo predstavlja pomemben prispevek k teoriji in praksi na področju digitalne transformacije ter uvajanja ERP sistemov v proizvodnih okoljih.

The master's thesis titled “Analysis of Critical Success Factors in the Implementation of a Vertical Information Solution in a Manufacturing Company” addresses the complexity of ERP implementation in modern manufacturing environments, with a focus on the vertical solution EBS SAP. The main objective of the research is to identify and analyze the critical factors that influence the success of such implementations, and to provide practical recommendations for future projects.
The theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including their history, functionality, modular architecture, and types of solution providers. It distinguishes between global and local ERP providers, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of their solutions, and highlights current technological trends such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cloud-based ERP systems. Particular attention is given to the SAP Activate methodology, which structures ERP implementation into six phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
The empirical part is based on an in-depth case study of a manufacturing company that implemented the vertical EBS SAP solution as part of a global corporate initiative to unify processes and improve data transparency. The company, which remains anonymous, transitioned from a legacy ERP system to the new one, addressing key business areas such as production, inventory, procurement, and master data. The implementation was carried out in close cooperation with international experts and involved daily coordination, workshops, test phases, and a step-by-step data migration process.
The analysis of critical success factors (CSFs) revealed that strong executive support, a competent and committed project team, effective cross-department communication, clear strategy and objectives, and the active involvement of end users have the greatest impact on project success. Additional key factors included user training, change management, proper data preparation, and vendor support. Data migration, in particular, emerged as a critical and resource-intensive phase, requiring thorough data cleansing, validation, and synchronization to ensure the new system’s reliability and effectiveness.
The thesis confirms three proposed hypotheses, emphasizing the importance of executive support, project management, and user involvement in the successful implementation of ERP solutions. The findings demonstrate that while technology plays an essential role, it is ultimately organizational, procedural, and human factors that determine the success or failure of such projects.
The thesis concludes with actionable recommendations for companies undertaking similar digital transformation initiatives, particularly regarding organizational readiness, strategic planning, the choice of implementation methodology, and stakeholder engagement. This research offers a valuable contribution to both the academic field and practical ERP implementation in industrial environments. |
