Abstract

Delo ponuja vpogled v tehnološko transformacijo novinarstva in prispeva k razumevanju vloge umetne inteligence v prihodnjem razvoju medijev.

Secondary title: Opportunities and challenges of using artificial intelligence in the media environment
Secondary abstract: This master's thesis explores the impact of artificial intelligence on the media industry, highlighting its opportunities and challenges. The theoretical part discusses key concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing, and generative artificial intelligence, and presents the possibilities of automation, personalization, and analytics. The empirical part is based on interviews with journalists and editors from various types of media. The findings suggest that artificial intelligence already supports routine tasks, but also raises issues related to ethics, transparency, and professionalism. The thesis offers insight into the technological transformation of journalism and contributes to understanding the role of artificial intelligence in the future development of the media.
