Vzpostavitev virtualnega požarnega zidu Sophos

Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava vzpostavitev virtualnega požarnega zidu Sophos. Področje, na katero se nanaša delo, zajema računalniška omrežja, virtualizacijo, požarne zidove in varnost omrežij. Namen diplomskega dela je bil prikazati vzpostavitev požarnega zidu v virtualni obliki, brez potrebe po namenski strojni opremi ter predstaviti težave in omejitve pri implementaciji takšne rešitve. V delu so uporabljene metode načrtovanja implementacije, implementacija rešitve, testiranje delovanja in varnostno testiranje. Rezultat diplomskega dela je implementacija požarnega zidu Sophos Home Edition kot virtualnega stroja v hipervizorju Proxmox. Izvedeno varnostno testiranje je pokazalo, da je požarni zid pravilno nastavljen in ne vsebuje večjih varnostnih pomanjkljivosti.

Secondary abstract:	The final thesis addresses the establishment of a Sophos virtual firewall. The field to which the work pertains includes computer networks, virtualization, firewalls, and network security. The purpose of the thesis was to demonstrate the setup of a firewall in a virtual form without the need for dedicated hardware and to present the challenges and limitations of implementing such a solution. The thesis employs methods such as implementation planning, solution deployment, functionality testing, and security testing. The outcome of the task is the implementation of the Sophos Home Edition firewall as a virtual machine within the Proxmox hypervisor. The conducted security testing has shown that the firewall is correctly configured and does not contain major security vulnerabilities.
