    Abstract
 
Uporaba mineralnih gnojil v kmetijstvu ima ključno vlogo za rast rastlin, vendar lahko z njihovo neustrezno uporabo pride do onesnaženja okolja. Prevelike količine hranil, še posebej dušika, se izpirajo v podtalnico in onesnažujejo vodne vire. Prav tako kopičenje težkih kovin vpliva na rodovitnost tal. Z uporabo mineralnih gnojil se sproščajo toplogredni plini v ozračje. S pravilno uporabo mineralnih gnojil lahko pripomoremo k manjšemu onesnaževanju okolja. 
V diplomskem delu smo preučili, kako lahko s pravilno uporabo mineralnih gnojil prispevamo k manjšemu onesnaževanju. Prvi korak k temu je, da redno izvajamo analize tal in na podlagi tega sestavimo gnojilni načrt. S pomočjo ankete smo preučili, v kakšnih količinah kmetovalci uporabljajo mineralna gnojila ter ali izvajajo ustrezne metode. Zanimalo nas je tudi, kakšna je njihova ozaveščenost o čezmerni oziroma neustrezni uporabi gnojil.

            | Secondary abstract: | Agricultural use of mineral fertilizers plays a key role in plant growth. However, improper use can lead to environmental pollution. Excessive amounts of nutrients, especially nitrogen, are washed into groundwater where they pollute water sources. The accumulation of heavy metals also affects soil fertility. What is more, the use of mineral fertilizers leads to greenhouse gas emissions. By using mineral fertilizers correctly, we can help reduce environmental pollution. 
In our diploma thesis, we studied how the correct use of mineral fertilizers can contribute to reducing pollution. The first step involves conducting regular analyses and drawing up a fertilization plan based on those analyses. By means of a survey, we examined what quantities of mineral fertilizers farmers use and whether they are implementing appropriate methods. We were also interested in their awareness about excessive or inappropriate fertilizer use. |
