Secondary title: | Design of a rear wing for a Formula Student race car |
Secondary abstract: | The thesis focuses on the design of the rear wing for the Formula Student race car developed by the Superior Engineering team. The aim of the project was to design an aerodynamically efficient wing that enhances the car's performance while complying with the competition regulations. Computational fluid dynamics methods, as well as mechanical analysis and optimization using the finite element method, were employed. The results indicate an increase in downforce and improved stiffness of the supporting structure. |
