diplomsko delo
Abstract
Raziskovalne škatle so učinkovit pripomoček za razvijanje naravoslovnih spretnosti, saj vsebujejo konkretne materiale. Čeprav bodo otroci na začetku potrebovali kar nekaj spodbude in usmeritve s strani odrasle osebe, bodo otroci, ko usvojijo takšen način dela, zaradi same zasnove škatle pri reševanju samostojni. S pred testom smo ugotavljali predznanje. Otroci eksperimentalne skupine so kasneje v obdobju štirih tednov uporabljali štiri raziskovalne škatle (zamaški, matice in vijaki, listi in plodovi ter školjke in polži), s katerimi so delali individualno. Na po testu so otroci eksperimentalne skupine pokazali zelo velik napredek pri naravoslovnih postopkih razvrščanja, eksperimentiranja in primerjanja, medtem ko je bil napredek pri naravoslovnem postopku urejanja zanemarljiv.

Inquiry boxes and development of science process skills in pre-school children |
| Secondary abstract: |
Inquiry boxes are an effective tool for developing science skills as they contain concrete materials. Although children will need some encouragement and guidance from an adult at the beginning, once they get the hang of this way of working, the very design of the box makes it possible for them to solve the problem independently. In the context of the thesis research, we wanted to find out what impact the inquiry boxes have on the development of science processes in the preschool child. The study involved 34 children aged between 5 and 6 years, who were divided into two groups (control and experimental). A pre-test was used to determine the pre-knowledge. The children in the experimental group were subsequently given four exploration boxes (corks, nuts and bolts, leaves and fruits, and shells and snail shells) to work with individually over a period of four weeks. At post-test, the children in the experimental group showed very significant progress in the naturalistic procedures of sorting, experimenting and comparing, while progress in the naturalistic procedure of arranging was negligible. |
