Abstract
Železniški transport predstavlja stroškovno učinkovito in logistično optimalno rešitev za prevoz večjih količin tovora, zlasti na dolgih razdaljah. Za učinkovito izvedbo prevoza tovora je potrebna medsebojna usklajenost vseh procesov že od samega začetka. Vsi postopki in delovni procesi imajo pomembno vlogo v logistični verigi. Le z natančnim in ustreznim načrtovanjem tehnoloških procesov lahko ponudniki železniških storitev dosežejo svoje poslovne cilje in zadovoljstvo strank. Inovacije in izboljšave na področju delovnih procesov so izrednega pomena, saj lahko s pomočjo naprednih tehnologij ter s stalnim izobraževanjem svojih zaposlenih zagotovijo višjo raven varnosti, povišajo konkurenčnost na trgu in pripomorejo k zniževanju stroškov.
V diplomskem projektu je predstavljena natančna analiza premikov kontejnerskih vlakov na kontejnerskem terminalu Luke Koper. Sestavljen je iz petih poglavij. V uvodnem delu se bralec seznani s področjem in problematiko raziskovalnega dela. V drugem poglavju je predstavljen širši pomen kontejnerizacije, vključno z njenimi prednostmi in slabostmi, na kratko je opisan zgodovinski razvoj, ki mu sledi opis tehničnih značilnosti, različnih vrst kontejnerjev in sistem njihovega označevanja. Prav tako je predstavljen tudi kontejnerski terminal in njegova značilna infrastruktura ter suprastruktura. V tretjem poglavju je pojasnjena povezava med železniškim in intermodalnim transportom, na kratko so opisane tudi železniške povezave, ki jih ima pristanišče Koper s svojim zaledjem. Bistveni del naloge predstavlja četrto poglavje, v katerem so podrobneje analizirani tehnološki postopki dostave in izvleke kontejnerskih vlakov na kontejnerskem terminalu, ki jih izvaja SŽ-Tovorni promet, d. d. V tem poglavju je predstavljeno tudi trenutno stanje in možne izboljšave na postaji Koper tovorna, ki bi lahko pripomogle k večji pretočnosti na železniških tirih. V zaključku so podane ugotovitve raziskave.

Rail transport is known as a highly cost-effective mode of transport, particularly for carrying bulk cargo over long distances. To ensure the efficient transport of goods, the coordination of all processes is required from the very beginning. Every procedure and operational process plays a significant role within the logistics chain. Only through the precise and appropriate planning of technological processes can rail service providers achieve their business objectives and ensure customer satisfaction. Innovations and improvements in operational processes are of the utmost importance, as they enable companies to enhance safety, increase their market competitiveness, and contribute to cost reduction using advanced technologies and the continuous training of their employees.
This diploma project provides a detailed analysis of container train movements at the Port of Koper container terminal. It is divided into five chapters. The introductory part introduces the reader with the subject area and the research problem. The second chapter provides insight into the broader significance of containerization, including its advantages and disadvantages. It briefly outlines the historical development of containerization, followed by a description of the technical characteristics, various types of containers, and their marking system. This chapter also presents the container terminal and its characteristic infrastructure and superstructure. In the following, the third chapter explains the connection between rail and intermodal transport and briefly outlines the railway connections between the Port of Koper and its hinterland. The core part of the thesis is chapter four, which provides a detailed analysis of the technological processes for the delivery and removal of container trains at the container terminal, as carried out by SŽ-Tovorni promet, d.d.. This chapter presents the current situation and potential improvements at the Koper freight station that could contribute to greater throughput on the railway tracks. The conclusion presents the findings of the research. |
