Abstract
Kurikularno področje narave je za otrokov razvoj izjemno pomembno. Otroci namreč vsak dan preživijo vsaj del časa na prostem, v naravnem okolju, kar ima, kot so pokazale številne raziskave, številne pozitivne učinke na njihovo dobro počutje in celostni razvoj. Diplomska naloga je sestavljena iz dveh delov: teoretičnega in empiričnega. V teoretičnem delu smo se osredotočili na področje narave ter natančneje obravnavali tematiko živega in neživega. Predstavili smo obstoječe ugotovitve in spoznanja ter delo številnih avtorjev. Poseben poudarek smo namenili razmišljanju otrok o živem in neživem ter pomenu te tematike za predšolske otroke. Empirični del diplomske naloge vključuje raziskavo, izvedeno v Vrtcu Podgorci in na Osnovni šoli Velika Nedelja - Podružnica Podgorci. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 64 otrok iz petih različnih skupin: štirih iz vrtca in prvega razreda osnovne šole. Najmlajša starostna skupina je vključevala otroke, stare 2-3 leta, sledile so skupine 2-4 leta, 3-4 leta, 5-6 let in najstarejša skupina, stara 6-7 let. Empirični del smo zaključili z nekaj predlogi dejavnosti, s katerimi lahko starši, vzgojitelji in drugi preverijo otrokovo razumevanje razlik med živim in neživim. Raziskava je potekala individualno. Otroci so razvrščali 20 predmetov, živih in neživih, na dva lista: zelenega za žive in rdečega za nežive predmete. Na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov smo ugotovili, da otroci večinoma prej in lažje razumejo pojem živega kot neživega, saj imajo pri razvrščanju več težav z neživim. Razumevanje živega in neživega se s starostjo izboljšuje, vendar tudi v prvem razredu vsi odgovori še niso povsem pravilni.

The curricular area of nature is extremely important for a child's development. Children spend at least part of their day outdoors in a natural environment, which, as numerous studies have shown, has many positive effects on their well-being and holistic development. This work consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, we focused on the field of nature and more specifically addressed the topic of living and non-living things. We presented existing findings and insights, as well as the work of various authors. Special emphasis was placed on children's thinking about living and non-living things and the importance of this topic for preschool children. The empirical part of the work includes research conducted at Podgorci Kindergarten and Velika Nedelja Primary School - Podgorci Branch. The study involved 64 children from five different groups: four from the kindergarten and one first-grade class. The youngest age group included children aged 2-3 years, followed by groups aged 2-4 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, and the oldest group aged 6-7 years. The empirical section concludes with several suggested activities that parents, educators, and others can use to assess a child's understanding of the differences between living and non-living things. The research was conducted individually. Children sorted 20 objects, both living and non-living, onto two sheets of paper: green for living and red for non-living items. Based on the results obtained, we found that children generally understand the concept of living things earlier and more easily than non-living things, as they have more difficulties classifying non-living objects. The understanding of living and non-living improves with age, but even in the first grade, not all answers are completely correct. |
