Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava vpliv dvomesečnega strukturiranega gibalnega programa, ki temelji na osnovnih atletskih vsebinah (tek, skok, met), na razvoj gibalnih sposobnosti otrok, starih od 3 do 4 leta. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 19 otrok iz ene vrtčevske skupine, ki so bili ob trikrat tedenskem atletskem gibalnem programu vključeni tudi v redno, enkrat tedensko organizirano športno dejavnost pod vodstvom športnega pedagoga in tudi v vsakodnevno gibalno aktivnost, ki jo načrtuje vzgojiteljica. Učinek programa smo preverjali s šestimi motoričnimi testi, ki so ocenjevali hitrost, moč, ravnotežje, koordinacijo, gibljivost in vzdržljivost. Rezultati so pokazali pomemben napredek pri vseh sposobnostih, zlasti pri hitrosti, moči in ravnotežju. Statistično značilnih razlik med spoloma ni, medtem ko so otroci z nižjim začetnim nivojem dosegli večji napredek. Ugotovitve poudarjajo pomen strokovno zasnovanega programa ter vloge vzgojiteljev in staršev pri spodbujanju gibalnega razvoja otrok.

Secondary title: The impact of athletic exercise programme on the development of motor functions in 3- and 4-year-old children in kindergarten
Secondary abstract: The thesis explores the impact of a two-month structured physical activity programme, based on fundamental athletic elements (running, jumping, and throwing), on the development of motor abilities in children aged 3 to 4 years. The study involved 19 children from a single preschool group who, in addition to participating in the athletic programme three times per week, were also engaged in a regular weekly organised physical activity led by a physical education specialist, as well as in daily movement activities planned by their preschool teacher. The effectiveness of the programme was assessed using six motor tests evaluating speed, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and endurance. The results showed significant improvements in all assessed abilities, particularly in speed, strength, and balance. No statistically significant differences were observed between boys and girls. The findings highlight the importance of a professionally designed programme and the active role of educators and parents in promoting motor development in early childhood.
