Abstract

Uvod: Za otroke z motnjo avtističnega spektra so značilni primanjkljaji v socialni komunikaciji, omejeni interesi in ponavljajoče se vedenje. Vse večja razširjenost motnje in težave otrok pri socialni interakciji opozarjajo na nujnost zgodnjega prepoznavanja in ustreznih intervencij. Socialne veščine so ključne za uspešno vključevanje v družbo, vendar jih ti otroci brez ciljanih pristopov pogosto težko razvijejo. Metode: Izvedli smo pregled, analizo in sintezo literature v angleškem jeziku, objavljeno v obdobju 2015–2025. Znanstveno literaturo smo iskali v bazah Cochrane Library, PubMed in APA PsycArticles.

Secondary title: Effectiveness of interventions to improve social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Children with autism spectrum disorder are characterized by deficits in social communication, limited interests and repetitive behavior. The increasing prevalence of the disorder and children's difficulties in social interaction highlight the need for early identification and appropriate interventions. Social skills are crucial for successful integration into society, but are often difficult to develop without targeted interventions. Methods: We conducted a review, analysis and synthesis of English-language literature published between 2015 and 2025. We searched the Cochrane Library, PubMed and APA PsycArticles databases for scientific literature. We presented the identified research findings in a table of characteristics and used a narrative description to synthesize the results. Results: 12 studies were included in the analysis. We found that several interventions helped to improve social skills, reduce behavior problems, and improve social interaction. They also had an effect on reducing social anxiety and feelings of loneliness and improved interpersonal relationships and quality of life. Discussion and conclusion: The most effective interventions for improving the social skills of children with autism spectrum disorder are those that include a structured approach, early intervention and active involvement of parents and peers, and the use of modern approaches such as virtual reality and robot-assisted interventions.
