Secondary abstract: | A group of students at the Sociology of youth course has carried out a research on the football match between Olimpija and Maribor PL, using a methodof participant observation. They were interested in the ways the football fans on both sides were acting before, during and after the match. The media response was analysed as well. In the contrast to the national team, the club scene in Slovenia seems to be less developed. This goes for a fan scene as well. There are only few hundred fans on both sides, mainly youngpeople with a built image and behaviour of a typical adherent of a football fan community. |
