Abstract

The paper attempts to clarify the modern problems of information society, above all the use of of virtual reality worlds, such as television or internet. The main thesis is that simulacra are closed worlds, so in order to exist they do not need a subject. In a certain way these worlds are like perpetum mobile and are created by capitalism with a certain purpose, which ishidden from the consumer. The author's attempt is to expose the hidden purpose which seems to be the essence of capitalism. |
