Secondary abstract: | Along with the creation of the new term 'cyber space', new ideas of legal norms for cyber space are appearing. Legal norms are especially necessary for consumer protection as the internet shopping brings advantages and risks not known to consumers in traditional way of shopping. The article presents particular regulation with EC directives - special attention is given to Directive 97/7/EC on consumer protection in the case of shopping at distance -and convention arrangement with a special emphasis put on draft of Haag convention. The article also deals with alternative conflict resolution and describes the situation in Slovenia, concluding that Slovenian consumer is rather well protected in this respect. |
