Abstract

Diplomsko delo je nastalo z namenom, da bi proučili možnosti vplivanja gospodarjenja z gozdom na objedenost mladja drevesnih vrst. Osredotočili smo se na vpliv zgradbe sestoja in nekaterih drugih dejavnikov, ki so odvisni od zgradbe sestoja. Proučevali smo objedenost na skupno stodvajsetih ploskvah (1,5 m * 1,5 m) v dveh objektih s prebiralno in v dveh objektih z enomerno (debeljak) sestojno zgradbo na rastišču Galio rotundifolii-Abietetum v GGE Ribnica na Pohorju. Objedenost smo ugotavljali v treh višinskih razredih. Najbolj zastopana drevesna vrsta v mladju je bila jelka, ki je spadala tudi med najbolj objedene vrste. Na preraščanje jelke v mladju so razen objedanja vplivali tudi konkurenčni odnosi s smreko. Povprečna objedenost je znašala 18 % in je bila ocenjena kot sprejemljiva. Objedenost je naraščala z višino mladja. V enomernem gozdu je bila značilno višja kot v prebiralnem. Kot možen vzrok razlik v objedenosti smo navedli večjo prisotnost zelišč v enomernem gozdu v povezavi z malopovršinskim prepletanjem enomernih in prebiralnih sestojev ter pojavljanje mladja v gostih jedrih v prebiralnem gozdu. S stališča objedenosti je gospodarjenje z gozdom na območju raziskave ustrezno.

Secondary title: Browsing damage in relation to the stand structure
Secondary abstract: The aim of graduation thesis was to investigate possibilities of forest management influencing the browsing damage. We focused on impact of stand structure, and of some other factors depending on stand structure. We studied the browsing damage on the total of one hundred and twenty plots (1,5 m * 1,5 m) in two areas of selection structure and in two areas of even-aged (mature forest) stand structure, at the location of Galio rotundifolii-Abietetum site in GGE Ribnica na Pohorju. We determined browsing damage in three height classes. Most represented tree species in regeneration was silver fir which was also among the most browsed species. Besides the accurance of browsing damage, the height increment of silver fir in regeneration was stimulated by the competition with Norway spruce as well. Average percentage of browsed regeneration was 18 % and was assesed as tolerable. Browsing damage was increasing with regeneration height. In even-aged forest was significantly higher than in selection forest. As possible reason for varying browsing damage we suggested higher incidence of herbs in even-aged forest in connection with small scale interconnection of even-aged and selection forest stands and also appearance of regeneration in dense groups in selection forest. We find forest management on research area with regard to browsing appropriate.
