Abstract

Gospodarjenje z gozdom danes brez cest ni možno.

Secondary title: State and recuired amount of funds for maintenance of forest roads on Born's estate
Secondary abstract: We can not imagine modern forest management without forest roads. Beside constructing new forest roads it is important to maintain existing forest roads besause only properly maintained forest roads can insure proper forest management. The main goal of research was investigating current forest road conditions on Born' s estate and to defining the required amount of maintenance funds and funds for finishing road construction. The research was done on basis of a previously dveloped method by Boštjan Hribernik. In our research we analysed registred maintenance works and calculated total amount of funds used for maintenance works in the past five years. By comparing the real values we found out that year 2004 was special due to dispatching of roaddamage caused by a big storm in 2003. That is the reason for high fund expenditure in 2004. In the last two years fund expenditure decresed. We gathered information of curent road conditions on Born's estate with inventoryof sample hectometer sectors. Results show that the weather causes most damages in the upper road layer and road bed layer. A worrying fact in drainage system is that there is no ditch on 59,5% of forest roads on Born's estate. In our research we found that the required amount of maintenance fundsfor immediate execution of all anticipated works is 68.690.360 SIT. In the year 2003 there was only 12.996.668,00 SIT available for maintenance of forest roads on Born's estate, wich represents only 19% of the required amountof maintenance funds.
